Definition;

A word that is the name of something (such as a person, animal, place, thing, quality, ideas or action) and is typically used in a sentence as subject or object of a verb or a object of a preposition.

Common Noun; 

A common noun is a noun that refers to people or things in general.

Examples,

Boy, country, city, day.

Proper Noun;

A proper noun is a name that identifies a particular person,place or thing.

Examples, 

Laiba, Kamra, London, Africa.

Note( In english proper noun begin with capital letters)

Compound Noun; 

A compound noun is a noun that is made up of two or more words. Most compound noun in English are formed by nouns modified by other noun or adjectives.

Examples,

The words tooth and paste are each nouns in their own right, but if you join them together they form a new word tooth-paste.
Nose+pin= Nose pin
Clark+Office=Clark office

Collective Noun;

A word used as the name of a collection of persons things taken together and referred to as one whole for the same category.

Examples,

Flock, Crowd, Committee, Choir, Group, Team.
• A band of musicians.
• A choir of singers.
• A class of students.
• A class of students.
• A crowd of people.
• A pack of dogs.
• A team of players.
• A troupe of dancers.

Gender;

The world health organization states, sex refers to the biological and physiological characteristics that define men and woman and gender refers to the socially constructed roles behaviors, activities and attributes that a given society considers appreciate for men and women.

Four genders of noun:

Masculine
Feminine
Common
Neuter

Masculine,

Masculine gender is a grammatical gender that marks nouns having human or animal male referents that do not have distinctions of sex.

Examples, 

Bull, rooster, drake

Feminine,

Feminine is a defined as the female gender.

Examples, 

Sow, hen, duck, cow.

Common, 

Common gender noun. In modern english, the gender of those nouns that apply to either sex, as spouse, parents or mouse.

Examples,

Artist, Children, Servant, Enemy, Pupil, Singer, Doctor, Dancer, Peon. 

Neuter,

Neuter is a gender that is neither masculine nor feminine. An example of neuter gender in English is the third- person singular pronoun it.

Examples,

Princess, Hen, Mare, Ships, Trains, Cranes.

Abstract Noun;

In english grammar, an abstract noun is a noun or noun phrase the names an idea, event, quality or concept. An abstract noun names something that can't be physically touched. Contrast that with a concrete noun.

Examples,

Liberty, Anger, Freedom, Love, Generosity, Charity and Democracy.
We cannot see, hear, touch, taste or smell these concepts. 

Concrete Noun;

A concrete noun is the name of something or someone that we experience through our senses, sight, hearing, smell, touch or taste. Most nouns are concrete noun. The opposite of concrete noun is an abstract noun.

Examples,

Spoon, table, ring, gold, iron, silver, wood, cotton.

Gerund;

A word ending in -ing that is made from a verb and used like a noun. In the sentence " Everyone enjoyed Tyler's singing" , the word ' singing ' is a gerund. 

Examples,

Cycling, Smoking, Playing, Running, Eating, Driving.
Verb+noun=noun
Noun+verb=noun

Material Noun;

The definition of a matrerial noun is a grammar term that refers to a material or substance from which things are made such as silver, gold, iron, cotton, diamond and plastic.

Examples,

Water, Air, Silver, Gold, Iron,Copper, Sand, Rock, Earth etc 

Singular and plural;

Singular Noun;

A noun identifies a person, place, things or idea. A singular noun names one person, place, things or idea while a plural noun names more then one person, place, thing, or idea. Most singular nouns need an 's' at the end to become plural.

Examples,

Person, Leaf, Mouse, Goose.

Plural Noun;

A plural noun is a word that indicates that there is more then one person, animal, place, thing or idea. When you talk about more than one of anything, you are using plural nouns. When you write about more than one of anything, you usually use the same word simply adding an s, es or ies to the end.

Examples;

People, leaves, mice, geese.
